Urban Decay: Sydney Miniatures at the Australian Design Museum showcases a new body of work by Adelaide-based and internationally-renowned miniaturist sculpture and stencil artist Joshua Smith.

The solo exhibit pays homage to five of Sydney's urban buildings in intricate miniature size. From peeling paint to garbage bags on the sidewalk (like in his Hong Kong exhibit below), Smith brings out the beauty in urban decay, encouraging the viewer to see the rust, grime and graffiti in a new light.

He pays so much attention to detail that if a finger or coin weren't there for reference, you'd swear you were looking at the real thing in a photograph.

Where:    Australian Design Museum, 101/113-115 William St, Darlinghurst 2010
When:     2 August - 26 September 2018, 11am-4pm Tuesday-Saturday (Closed Sunday and Monday)
