The MCA is going on an intergalactic adventure with their brand new immersive exhibition, Ultra Unreal. From 22 July to 2 October, the MCA will house the multi-sensory installation in various forms throughout the gallery including performances, augmented reality works, film screenings and artist-led events, starting with an epic opening weekend.

The exhibition is FREE and features the diverse work of six artists and collectives from across the globe, reflecting on the relevance of mythmaking today and its role in navigating complex realities and creating new worlds. Incorporating influences from religion, neuroscience, ecology, artificial intelligence, myth, gaming, and queer club cultures, these artists create an other-worldly experience full of fascinating hybrid creatures, genderfluid beings, gods, ghosts, dreaming machines, ancient ceremonies and digital reincarnations.
