State Library - Online School Holiday Program

The State Library is here to help you with learning from home.

Their online school holiday program includes the following activities, which will keep the kids occupied @ home this school holidays.

Drawing with Andrea:
 

Join Andrea, their fabulous art educator for some simple drawing lessons for children. In this series Andrea will guide you to draw some of her favourite animals including fish and flamingos!

Equipment needed: A4 paper, crayons, textas, oil pastels or coloured pencils. You can even use a lead pencil if that’s all you can find!

When:   Wednesday, 22 April at 10am and Friday 24 April 2020 at 1pm
Ages:     Suitable for 4 – 8 years

Having Fun with Ideas - workshop with Tim Harris:

This fun and engaging workshop will show you how to fully enjoy the process of brainstorming. You'll create funny lists, write ping-pong conversations, think outside the box and learn how to utilise your imagination. This workshop will also include a virtual tour of Tim's working space, as well as time for Q&A.

When:   21 April 2020, 1pm - 2pm
Ages:     Suitable for 8 - 11

Storytime from the Children’s Library:

Join in as they explore the shelves of the Children's Library and choose the very best books to celebrate World Book Day.

When:   23 April 2020, 11am - 11:30am
Age: 3 - 6 years of age

D-Bot Squad adventure - workshop with Louise Park:

Could you be the next member of D-Bot Squad? Join author Louise Park and take the driver's seat for a D-Bot Squad adventure!

You'll use a 5-step plan to create your own story and design your very own Dino-bot. Buckle up for an adventurous hour of fun!

When:   23 April 2020, 2pm - 3pm
