Speaking Schools Australasia offers a range of fun and educational school holiday workshops in debating and public speaking. Since opening its doors in 2014, Speaking Schools Australasia have helped over 25,000+ students improve their speaking skills and develop their confidence. 

The workshops are divided between year group, skill level, and topic area to ensure that every student has plenty of opportunities to thrive, regardless of their background. Every student is provided with individualised feedback from their experienced and passionate coaches.

April School Holiday Workshops

Speaking Skills Bumblebees is a two-day program for mixed-experience students in Kindergarten that allows them to develop their communication skills through interactive games and activities. 

Presentation Skills Tabby Cats is the perfect beginner school holiday workshop for early primary students in Years 1 & 2, looking to find their feet. A fun introduction to speaking in front of a group.

Presentation Skills Tigers workshop provides experienced students in Years 1 & 2 with interactive and fun activities to both deepen students' understanding of how to best present in front of a class and to further develop their confidence in speaking to audiences. Over the school holidays, the focus will be on News Reporting.

The Speaking Camp Koalas beginner program is an interactive, activity-based workshop that introduces beginner-level mid-primary students in Years 3 & 4 to the exciting world of public speaking and debating. This program helps students gain confidence in their ability to communicate effectively, while also teaching them the basics of public speaking and debating. 

The Speaking Camp Kangaroos workshop for experienced speakers enables students from Years 3 & 4 to apply their speaking skills in a variety of novel situations, developing their confidence, critical thinking and resilience even further. Over the Spring holidays, the focus will be on Informing Audiences.

This mixed-experience Public Speaking Honeyeaters workshop aims to give primary and early high school students from Years 5, 6 & 7 a head start on their public speaking and speech-writing skills in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Over the holidays, this program will focus on Conveying Concepts.

Debating Hummingbirds is an introductory foundational workshop tailored for students from Years 5, 6 & 7 seeking an introduction to the captivating realms of public speaking and debating. It serves as a gentle initiation, laying a solid groundwork for further development. 

The Debating Hawks semi-modular workshop for experienced students in Years 5 & 6 with some debating experience that allows them to consolidate their knowledge, practise their debating skills, and gain exposure to interesting and pertinent topics. 

The Public Speaking Polar Bears workshop provides mixed-experience students from Years 6, 7 & 8 with the chance to nurture a wide array of invaluable skills in the art of public speaking. This program empowers students to cultivate their abilities and unlock their true potential, with a focus on Textual Analysis Speeches.

This engaging and interactive Practice Debates workshop offers experienced Years 7, 8, 9 & 10 high school students a unique opportunity to enhance their skills through a combination of practice debates and theoretical sessions, fostering growth and success in the art of debating.
