July School Holiday Workshops

Speaking Skills Bumblebees is a two-day programme for mixed-experience students in Kindergarten that allows them to develop their communication skills through interactive games and activities.

Presentation Skills Tabby Cats is the perfect beginner school holiday workshop for early primary students in Years 1 & 2, looking to find their feet. A fun introduction to speaking in front of a group.

Presentation Skills Tigers provides experienced students in Years 1 &  2 with interactive and fun activities to deepen their understanding of how to present in front of a class and further develop
their confidence in speaking to audiences. Over the July holidays, the focus will be on Voicing Opinions.

Speaking Camp Koalas is an interactive, activity-based workshop that introduces beginner-level mid- primary students in Years 3 & 4 to the exciting world of public speaking and debating. ThisThe The 
programme helps students gain confidence in their ability to communicate effectively while teaching them the basics of public speaking and debating.

Speaking Camp Kangaroos enables experienced speakers in Years 3 & 4 to apply their speaking skills in a variety of novel situations, developing their confidence, critical thinking and resilience even further. Over the July holidays, the focus will be on Sharing Perspectives, helping students develop their own opinions on topics while also learning to think critically about and examine different perspectives.

Debating Quokkas is a brand new programme for July 2026, designed to introduce Year 3 & 4 students to debating in a way that's playful, supportive, and genuinely fun. Over the July holidays, the focus will be on Cases: Comparative Topics.

Public Speaking Honeyeaters is a mixed-experience workshop giving primary and early high school students in Years 5, 6 & 7 a head start on their public speaking and speech-writing skills in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Over the July holidays, the focus will be on Impromptu Speeches, helping students feel calm and capable when they're called on to speak with little (or no) preparation time.

Debating Hummingbirds is a foundational workshop tailored for students in Years 5, 6 & 7 seeking an introduction to the captivating realms of public speaking and debating. Over the July holidays, the focus will be on Speaker Roles and Rebuttal, laying a solid groundwork for further debating development.

Debating Hawks is a semi-modular workshop for experienced students in Years 5, 6 & 7 with some debating experience that allows them to consolidate their knowledge, practise their debating skills, and gain exposure to interesting and pertinent topics.

Public Speaking Polar Bears provides intermediate Year 7 and inexperienced Year 8 & 9 students with the chance to nurture a wide array of invaluable skills in the art of public speaking. Over the July holidays, the focus will be on Inspiring Impromptus, sharpening their ability to respond thoughtfully and articulately when put on the spot.

Practice Debates offers experienced high school students in Years 7, 8, 9 & 10 a unique opportunity to enhance their skills through a combination of practice debates and theoretical sessions, fostering growth and success in the art of debating.
