Penrith Regional Gallery Creative Classes for Kids

Art, drawing, illustration and animation classes are available for your creative kids at the Penrith Regional Gallery located at the foot of the Blue Mountains at Emu Plains.  

July Art Blocks for Tots (3-6yrs): Have fun and get hands-on together with your kids as we go on a tiny tour to explore the explosion of colour in our Modernist Research Centre.
Using the Gallery exhibition as a play-box for imagination, kids will use paint, cardboard, scissors and glue to create their own colourful cardboard construction inspired by what they have seen. This workshop will stimulate your child’s imagination as they get to look and think like an artist, develop their fine motor skills and create joy with their artmaking skills. All artistic abilities are welcome but be prepared to get messy and wear the right clothes!   Adults are free and must stay with children for the class.
When:    Friday 28 July; 10-11am
Cost:      $12/child

Illustration & Animation (7-10yrs): Have fun with ‘old skool’ illustration techniques, like collage, drawing and plasticine sculpting, before leaping into the magic of stop-frame animation. By the end of the term, students will gain confidence across a variety of mediums and techniques including 2D and 3D animation. New projects each term.
