Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil Is Descending Upon The Grounds

Get ready for a spooktacular Halloween event as Maleficent: Mistress of Evil descends upon the Grounds Of Alexandria.

Entertainment powerhouse, Disney has once again partnered with The Grounds to bring the good people of Sydney a magical spectacular in their breathtaking gardens. With previous sell-out Disney installations like Mary Poppins, and Aladdin absolutely wowing our socks off, we’re expecting nothing short of spectacular yet again. This time around, the Grounds will be swapping the bright and colourful lanterns, silk scarves and ‘Cherry Tree Lane’ with something dark, brooding and full of feathers.

To celebrate Maleficent: Mistress of Evil opening in cinemas in October, The Grounds will be channelling the enchantress of evil with bewitching laneways, dark forests, black roses, eerie archways, gnarled branches, and, of course, a signature dish. ‘The Dark Fairy’ is a devilishly decadent glazed milk chocolate mousse filled with passionfruit jelly and topped with vanilla buttercream and edible horns.

The Grounds' darkest laneway yet will be spooking Sydneysiders from 27 September to 3 November. To celebrate All Hallows Eve, The Grounds are hosting a family trick or treating event on Thursday 31 October at 5 pm, and their first-ever adults-only Halloween event on 1 November at 7 pm.

To enter Maleficent’s laneway of doom, just look out for the terrifying life-sized Horns!
