Lights of Christmas At St Mary's Cathedral Square 2020
- Thu Dec 10 - Fri Dec 25 2020
Sydney’s favourite free Christmas event will return in 2020. Lights of Christmas presented by Paynter Dixon and created and produced by AGB Events, will return to St Mary’s Cathedral from Thursday 10 December until Christmas night.
St Mary’s cathedral will be bathed in spectacular visual effects revealing this year’s story of HOPE. By utilising light as a symbol of new beginnings, the storyline depicts the dawning of a new day and the promise of a brighter future.
Inspired by the patterns of the stained glass windows, HOPE features candlelight, sunshine and twinkling stars, utilising symbols to inspire optimism for the future.
As Christmas approaches, we give thanks to those who have served our Sydney community - we acknowledge the men and women who have worked tirelessly throughout the natural disasters and the pandemic to provide our community with essential services to keep us safe.
Where: St Mary's Cathedral Square, College Street, Sydney
