History Week 2020 - Museum Of Fire

History week 2020 asks "what is history good for" and the answer is that without understanding the post, you can't move into the future. Keeping this in mind, the Museum Of Fire has put together the following incredible program:

Saturday, 5 September 2020:
Adults at children's prices, which is $6.00 per person! Guided tours are available at 10am, midday and 2pm and are free once inside. There is also a special colouring competition for the kids.

Sunday, 6 September 2020:
History Week Keynote presentation and launch of the Museum Of Fire membership program. The event is free after admission and also available digitally. Bookings essential.

Monday, 7 September 2020:
Special "behind the scenes tours, so you can get up close and personal with some of the unseen vehicles of the museum's collection. The tour is 60 minutes and will take in some of the museum's storage facilities and discussions with staff and volunteers who care for this historic collection. 

Thursday, 10 September 2020:
For today only there will be gold coin donation for museum entry

Saturday, 12 September 2020:
Join from the comfort of your own home to explore some of the state's oldest fire stations with this virtual tour. 

Sunday, 13 September 2020:
This final event of history week is FREE* and showcases some of the rarely seen heritage vehicles from the Museum's collection. Members of the Historic Fire Engine Association will also perform displays of historic firefighting. *Museum entry not included. Please register prior to visiting.
