The Living Reef is a free form coral lagoon that wraps 200m around the central building on Daydream Island and is home to over 100 species of local marine life including fish, small sharks, rays and other reef dwelling creatures. The whole family will love entering the Living Reef to take a splash with their baby rays!
The Living Reef Education Centre has 8 living displays showcasing various habitats from mangroves to corals, a theatrette and an interactive touch pool. Attend a talk and tour in the Underwater Observatory or take a tour of their coral propagation program, organised by their marine biologists.
With an array of activities on offer across the island each day, you are sure to experience the luxury of diving into a snorkelling adventure or exploring the island and surrounding Great Barrier Reef Marine Park by helicopter, sailboat, or jet ski.
Your kids will love the Daydream Island Kids Club for 4 - 12 year olds, which offers both morning and afternoon sessions. Activities include everything from painting, arts and crafts, sandcastle building, wild fish feeding, outdoor play, rainforest wildlife walk and
talk, tennis, beach sports, movies, marine animal experiences, scavenger hunt, board and computer games, coral collecting, kite making and flying, cooking classes, dress ups, kids yoga and more!
Food and Beverage
There is an expanded food and beverage offering across the island with three restaurants and three bars including an exciting Asian Fusion restaurant Infinity, the buffet restaurant Graze and modern Australian restaurant Inkstone. Kids menues are available for children under 12.
Daydream Island offers a range of refurbished spacious and modern accommodation rooms and suites such as Deluxe Ocean Terrance Rooms, Signature Spa Suits and Superior rooms that have pool view. Whether you want to overlook the the resort pool landscapes and tropical gardens or look out to the stunning blue waters of the Whitsundays, there will be a room to suit you!

Getting to Daydream Island
The Whitsundays are serviced by two domestic airports, Great Barrier Reef Airport (Hamilton Island Airport) on Hamilton Island and Whitsundays Coast Airport (Proserpine Airport) on the mainland at Proserpine, with direct services from Sydney. The flight is 2 hours and 25 minutes, followed by a ferry transfer to Daydream Island. If you have time for a longer commute, you can also travel to Queensland by train or car.
