The sizzling summer school holidays are just around the corner, and the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) is here with a brilliant line-up of drama workshops created to engage performers of all ages.

The courses run up to a week, are all themed and are guaranteed to have something for everyone.

ATYP loves drama. And acting. And comedy. So when they create school holiday programs, they make them the best in Sydney.

How The ATYP Workshops Work

Kids from Kindergarten to Yr12 spend a couple of days or a week of their holidays in age-specific workshops, having a fantastic time making new friends and learning acting skills at ATYP. Plus, they get to create a show-stopping performance for their family and friends at the end of the workshop.

The classes include acting, singing, movement, short-film making, comedy, circus and some amazing imagination stretching for the littlest participants.

The workshop K-2 TODAY I AM A . . . program for Kindergarten to Yr 2 will be a barrel of fun.

What will you be when you wake up today? Will you be a cat or a crocodile? What about a witch or a werewolf? Your child can be whatever they want in a drama class!

During this three-day workshop, your kid will learn improvisation techniques, how to create characters and explore the stories. Each day is an opportunity to wear a costume and come to class as a different character. Make new friends and play drama games in a fun and creative environment.

The adventures start with their imagination!
