Waru - Journey of the Small Turtle
Follow the adventure of Migi, a small green turtle, as she returns to her birthplace to continue the ancient cycle of life. The beaches are bustling as turtles come home to nest, and soon, a new generation of hatchlings will make their grand entrance, including our brave little Migi.
Crafted by the visionary minds of former Bangarra Artistic Director Stephen Page, alongside Hunter Page-Lochard and Bangarra alumni Sani Townson and Elma Kris, Waru - Journey of the Small Turtle is not just a dance show. It's a contemporary Island Children story inspired by the totemic green turtle, designed to spark conversations among families about climate change, environmental stewardship, and the enduring cultural values of respect and reciprocity.
Don't miss this captivating introduction to traditional dance and storytelling, where each step and beat weaves a deeper understanding of our world.
