Rialto’s Daffodil Garden Blooms Again for Daffodil Day Appeal 2025

Melbourne’s Rialto Plaza is set to burst into colour this August as part of a spectacular tribute for Cancer Council Victoria’s Daffodil Day Appeal.

From 20–21 August 2025, the iconic CBD landmark will feature a breathtaking installation of 38,715 vibrant daffodils, honouring every Victorian diagnosed with cancer each year.

At the heart of the display is a striking 6-metre-high hot air balloon, floating above a sea of blooms in the Rialto forecourt at 525 Collins Street — symbolising hope rising above hardship and celebrating 39 years of this powerful nationwide fundraising campaign.

Visitors are encouraged to purchase bunches of fresh daffodils (from $12), with all proceeds supporting Cancer Council Victoria’s vital research, prevention and support services. Last year’s appeal raised $3.3 million, and this year's aims for over $4 million nationally.
