Animal Encounters at Melbourne Zoo

Melbourne Zoo's Close-up Encounters will bring you face-to-face with some of the zoo's most popular personalities.

You will meet the passionate and knowledgeable staff who will guide you into your favourite animals’ exhibit for a chance to meet lemurs, giraffes, meerkats, giant tortoises, seals, and more.

The friendly staff will be on hand to help capture your close-up moment - don't forget your camera!

The encounter is a brief experience that lasts a couple of minutes with each visitor booked, however, please plan up to 15 minutes to meet your host and keeper, and hear the safety briefing.
