The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Presents Dr Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas Live in Concert!

The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is bringing the holiday cheer (and a little bit of mischief) to Hamer Hall with a very special screening of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, complete with James Horner’s magical score performed live by the MSO.

Starring Jim Carrey as the famously grouchy Grinch and narrated by Anthony Hopkins, this festive favourite tells the story of how one determined little girl, Cindy Lou Who, sets out to discover the true meaning of Christmas. With her big heart and unstoppable spirit, she just might melt the Grinch’s icy exterior and transform Whoville forever.

Families are invited to snuggle into the festive season with this heartwarming tale of kindness, laughter, and belonging, all brought to life by the thrill of a full orchestra. It’s the perfect way to kick off December with a swirl of holiday magic, cinematic wonder, and live symphonic sparkle.

Don’t miss this chance to see a classic Christmas film in an extraordinary new way. The MSO’s Grinch in Concert promises big-screen fun, festive storytelling, and a joyous soundtrack to get everyone into the holiday spirit.
