Celebrate 80 years of Marvel comics with our free exhibition behind the Shot Tower!
Spider-Man, Wolverine, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and the rest of the Marvel superheroes are a busy bunch. They spend their days flying across the universe, winning epic battles, and rescuing us from all sorts of catastrophes. In fact, they’re probably saving us from a mean, world-ending villain as we speak.

But from July 5, the superheroes are taking a well-deserved break from their crime-fighting careers. They’ll be travelling all the way from the Marvel Universe to Melbourne Central, where they’ll be appear in our free art exhibition, Marvel: Journey of Heroes.

The exhibition marks Marvel’s 80th birthday, and documents every decade with original artwork created by talented local artists including Patrick Brown, Jon Sommariva, David Yardin, Ben Templesmith and Wayne Nichols.

Call yourself a superfan? You’ll be able to go on a historical journey of Marvel highlights, from the first publication of Timely Comics in 1939; to the legendary impact of titans like Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and more; to the present day, starring the latest Marvel flicks and your absolute favourite heroes!

Catch Marvel: Journey of Heroes behind Melbourne Central’s Shot Tower from July 5 until September 2019.

Radio Velvet have created exclusive Marvel merchandise, available to purchase at the exhibition.
Merch includes limited edition framed prints, posters, tees, hoodies and more.
