Kensington CommUNITY Festival

Get ready for a huge day of fun for the whole family as Kensington celebrates its diverse community at the annual Kensington CommUNITY Festival.

Enjoy music from China to the Caribbean, food from all corners of the globe, henna hand painting, jumping castles, treasure hunts, try out hula hooping, juggling, tai chi, African drumming and Bollywood dancing. A whole range of community and local business stalls will be on hand with displays and interactive activities such as the popular Family Activity Passport with free giveaways.

There's also the Sustainable Living Expo with displays and information on food forests, composting, and waste solutions featuring the popular repair hub for bike, jewellery and clothing on the spot repairs plus other local projects covering sustainability themes.

For sports fans, local sporting clubs will showcase youth soccer and AFL footy with team games, plus lawn bowling for children.

The 2020 festival celebrate its 12th year and is proud to be part of the Cultural Diversity Week program and supported by the City of Melbourne, the Victorian State Government, festival partners and local businesses.
