The smash hit Broadway musical HAIRSPRAY is set to light up Melbourne's Regent Theatre this August.

Join a star-studded cast of Aussie favourites including Shane Jacobson as Edna Turnblad, Todd McKenney as Wilbur Turnblad, Rhonda Burchmore as Velma Von Tussle and Rob Mills as Corny Collins, as they take a wild ride through the sixties! 

“The characters in HAIRSPRAY are iconic and loved worldwide and the team have assembled an unbelievably talented and hilarious all-star cast for one of my most beloved musicals,” said producer John Frost.

The original, multi-award-winning production of HAIRSPRAY is a big-hearted, romantic comedy that follows dance-lover Tracy Turnblad and her dream to perform on The Corny Collins Show. When her teenage dream becomes reality, Tracy falls in love and finds friends in the most unexpected ways. 

The winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, this new Australian production will be a colourful, joyful spectacular full of feel-good songs, cheeky humour and the nicest kids in town.
