Greek Storytime with the Hellenic Museum
Hear much-loved stories, songs and rhymes in English and Greek at Greek Storytime with the Hellenic Museum!
The Hellenic Museum hosts this one-off morning at State Library Victoria for children aged 3 to 5, with grandparents and other special friends also invited.
What to Expect at Greek Storytime with the Hellenic Museum
Whether you speak Greek, English or a bit of both, you can follow along, because every story, song and rhyme runs in both languages. Children then make a craft to take home.
Children also get to handle authentic and replica artefacts from the Hellenic Museum, so bring your curiosity, too!
The session runs from 10.30 am to 11.15 am on Wednesday 21 October 2026 at State Library Victoria on Swanston St, and it's a lovely excuse to bring a grandparent or another special person along for the morning.
The morning celebrates intergenerational connections, with memories and stories shared across the family. It's a friendly way to introduce a young child to a second language, even if you only know a few Greek words yourself!
Entry is free.
