A child's first time riding a bike is a treasured moment of growing up in Australia, a moment of development that is a celebrated across cultural boundaries.

SBS has been the home of the Tour de France for more 30 years, with 2019 marking the 15th anniversary of the ŠKODA and Tour de France partnership. ŠKODA in partnership with SBS have launched First Gear which is to be a primary resource to celebrate the Tour de France and help students learn about the importance of maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle. This new learning hub will be available for schools and parents to educate and encourage children to embrace the positive cycling lifestyle.

To launch the First Gear initiative, ŠKODA and SBS will host two free community launch events in Melbourne and Sydney, bringing together Australian cycling legends and the next generation of two-wheeled star.
