In partnership with the City of Melbourne, The Lost Dogs' Home is hosting a free public event, Dogs In The Park, to educate dog owners on how to have a happy park experience.

Melbourne dogs and owners are enjoying an innovative and interactive opportunity to get the best of their dog park experience. Sometimes incidents can occur in dog parks because some owners don’t realise how their dogs are uncomfortable around other dogs. In a unique and exciting trial, The Lost Dogs’ Home and the City of Melbourne have partnered to offer Dogs in the Park.

 You will learn more on:
– Understanding your dog’s body language and behaviour
– Play and enrichment ideas
– Positive reinforcement training
– Recall at the park

The free sessions aim to improve important dog park basics and are run by experienced dog trainers from The Lost Dogs’ Home. In the one-hour sessions, owners learn how to read their dog’s body language and know what the dog’s trying to tell them. Session 1 will run from 10am to 11.30am and Session 2 from 11.30am to 1pm.

Where:   JJ Holland Reserve, Childers Street, Kensington
When:    Sunday 31 March, from 10am-1pm. Interviews at 9.30am
Cost:      FREE
