Be Creative. Be Confident. Led by professional Actors, these sessions with Immerse Drama will explore Drama, Music, Games, Improvisation and Devising skills, creating a final Performance.

Older classes will work on scripts with the chance to record and see their work screened or perform live at the end of the sessions!

Ages 3 – 14 @ Elsternwick Park Tennis Studio
Wednesday 1 - 4 pm (Ages 3 - 8)
Thursday 1 - 4 pm (Ages 9 - 14)

Week 1, 8 & 9 January 2020 -  $50
Will focus on drama exercise and games and exploring a range of characters from fairytale favorites to and creating our own characters and stories.

Week 2, 15 & 16 January 2020 - $50
Building the Story, we will start to create our own story, clarifying characters working with props and costumes to create different landscapes/soundscapes to create our own magical world.

They will have some arts and crafts available to make some personal creations for the piece too!

Week 3, 22 & 23 January 2020 (1 – 4:30pm) $55
Practice and rehearse our new original work of art!
This session will finish with a performance for friends and family to come and watch!

** Performance at 4pm

  • $150 if signing up to all 3 sessions
  • Maximum 15 participants in each class
  • Participants can attend 1 single session, including the 3rd week as everyone will be involved in the performance regardless of any previous attendance
  • After care is available at the tennis center from 4 – 6pm at $11 extra if needed after the session.

THURSDAY’S  |  1 – 4pm  |   AGES 9 – 14   |  Acting Performance Class

Script – Stage – Camera

Led by professional Actors, these sessions will explore Improvisation and Script work for stage and screen, working towards creating a Performance Scene recorded and live to be shown in the last session.

Week 1 – Introduction games, Improvisation techniques and script readings.
Get to know your group, work out what our preferences are in terms of comedy or drama, get your muscles flexed with some improvisations and then look at scripts that you can work on in the following weeks.

Week 2 – Scene work and Monologues
Work in partners or on your own, then working with the director to look at how to improve the scenes and adapt for either stage or camera. Participants will be given a choice of being able to perform something live in week 3, film something , or both.

All filming will take place in this week to be prepared for screening at week 3.

Week 3 – Rehearsal’s and direction for live performance. (1 – 4:45pm)
Explore some actor techniques and put the finishing touches to the scenes and then get ready to present them, this may be duologues or monologues, and an audience of friends and family will be invited back for the screening and live presentations.

$55 a session, $150 if signing up to all 3 sessions, Maximum 10 participants in each class.

School Holiday Sessions  - Drama Workshop

A fun hour exploring different games and themes, stories, music, movement, characters and costumes.
