This series of free eco-friendly workshops runs daily (Monday - Friday) in the Sensory Garden throughout the summer holidays from 9-10am. Kids can express themselves through arts and crafts, and get up close and personal with the precinct’s resident bees and backyard chooks. Workshops are free, but registration is essential.

WORKSHOP DETAILS

Monday (3rd, 10th & 17th December) - Plant & Gardening Workshop

Show off your green thumb and get your hands dirty with this Plant & Gardening Workshop! Choose a pot made from reclaimed materials and plant a herb seedling to take home with you. There will also be an interactive worm farm that you can explore - how fun!

Tuesday (4th, 11th & 18th December) - Upcycling Workshop

Get ready to show off your creative side with this hands-on Upcycling Workshop. Create your very own dream catcher using recycled materials such as CD's and yarn. Your beautiful, hand-made dream catcher will brighten up any room!

Wednesday (5th, 12th & 19th December) - Grass Heads Workshop

Thursday (6th, 13th & 20th December) - Flower Crown Workshop

Summer is finally here and that means that flowers are in full bloom! Make your own beautiful flower crown using Summer daisies, it's the perfect accessory to celebrate the warmer weather.

Friday (7th, 14th & 21st December) - Bees & Backyard Chooks Workshop

Are you an animal lover? If your answer is yes, then this Bees & Backyard Chooks Workshop is for you! Get up close and personal with native and european bees, as well as chickens and chicks, and learn all about these beautiful creatures. You'll even get to taste some honey collected from the West Village bee hives and make your own beeswax candle to take home!

ellaslist opinion: Parental supervision required for children participating in workshops but you can grab a coffee and delicious Italian treat from Salt Meats Cheese to help you pass the time.
