    All Ages
  • From: $17.00

Whether you're an eco-warrior or just looking for some great ideas to do your bit for the planet, Brisbane's Eco Expo has something for the whole family.

Encouraging us all to take just ‘one eco step’ towards creating a better planet, the Eco Expo will feature a range of exciting initiatives to promote a more sustainable lifestyle. There will be a Lifeline $2 Clothing Sale with 20 tonnes (100 tables) of clothing to support slow fashion, the Eco Pledge, a Vegan Market and food trucks for all tastes, or listen to special guest speakers with sustainability masterclasses, cooking demonstrations, DIYs and seminars.

With an impressive line up of celebrity speakers and environmentalists including the Environmental Cowboy Khory Hancock and the Plastic Free Mermaid Kate Nelson, you will be sure to find small and large ways to help create a positive impact on our environment and help preserve it for future generations.

Families are able to access a range of fun and engaging ‘How To’ workshops, activities and performances that are great for kids and all ages include free weaving workshops and candle making.

Visit the Wildlife HQ Zoo where there will be up close and personal animal encounters available, see the world through the eyes of a faerie with the Fairy Lady where you can learn how to cure the forest and the oceans from what is making them sick or go along to the Recycleman’s show where he teaches children about the importance of environmental awareness and sustainability through the use of songs, costumes, games and visual aids.

ellaslist opinion: The Eco Expo offers convenient onsite parking, but encourages using public transport to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Reducing your carbon footprint has never been easier, with the train station only a 10-minute walk away and bus stops surrounding the venue which connect to the free city loop bus.

Where: Brisbane Showgrounds, Exhibition Building, 600 Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills

When: 13-15 September 2019, 10am to 4pm
