We visited SEA LIFE to meet JJ and join his aquatic adventure that is really making waves!

Our CoComelon Experience at SEA LIFE Sydney

Getting Our Feet (and Fins) Wet

Our day began with an eager trek into exciting Darling Harbour… which coming from Sydney’s north side, is an adventure in itself! The kids couldn't contain their excitement as we approached the SEA LIFE entrance, jumping up and down and asking for JJ, who they couldn’t believe they were going to see ‘in real life’. If you've ever wondered how to combine learning, play, and marine magic in one fun experience, this event is your golden ticket!

Diving into the CoComelon Magic

As we stepped inside SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, the kids grabbed handfuls of CoComelon colouring-in sheets, along with activity books. These books added an interactive element to our day, with the kids helping JJ uncover the missing words in the book to create an exclusive CoComelon SEA LIFE song.

Finding JJ

But, let’s be honest… the main drawcard of the day was JJ. The kids raced through the start of the aquarium trail, bypassing the huge gulping fish to get to Dugong Island and up close to their beloved JJ. They raced up to him, unaware of the Keeper feeding the peacefully floating Dugong and Eagle Rays! However, as they drew closer, JJ’s size surprised them and they slowed down and stopped in awe of their favourite TV character, now towering over them. They were simply starstruck and daunted by his monumental size!

JJ In Real Life 

For two 3-years olds and an 18-month-old, JJ ‘In Real Life’ can be a little overwhelming, older kids or those with little fear factor will love this big gentle baby dolling out high-fives. After a quick meet and greet the kids were happy to continue on through the aquarium trail, working through their activity book explorations and discovering the aquatic creatures of the deep.

Underwater Wonders and Ocean Adventures

As we wandered deeper into the aquarium, the vastness of the underwater world revealed itself. It's like stepping into another realm – a realm inhabited by majestic aquatic creatures, from graceful stingrays to mystical seahorses and playful penguins. The kids were wide-eyed and awestruck with the low lighting creating some much-needed calming vibes, after the excitement of meeting JJ. The kids jumped up onto the rock ledges, pressing their faces against the glass and were mesmerised by the underwater sea life, and also delighted in coming face-to-face with some curious penguins.

A Grand Finale: Shark Valley

As our adventure drew to a close, we found ourselves beneath the Ocean Tunnel. Surrounded by a breathtaking underwater panorama, we were treated to the graceful dance of sharks, rays, and a kaleidoscope of colourful fish. The kids craned their necks eyeing off the huge sharks gliding atop the tunnel, pointing out their ‘triangle’ teeth, and adding the shape to their CoComelon activity book.

The Final Word
