The First of Two New Cronulla Plaza Playgrounds is Officially Open

Our beady ellaslist eyes are always peeled for new playground openings around Sydney, and it's safe to say we've clocked an absolute gem. 

Cronulla Plaza is now home to an awesome new playground after work started in August to complete this incredible new addition to the Plaza for locals and visiting families.

The New Cronulla Plaza Playground is Open

Playgrounds were an extremely important consideration in the reimagining of the much-loved Cronulla Plaza. 

Play areas have been a feature of Cronulla Plaza since the last redevelopment in the 1980s, so it was vital to bring the community something that would fulfil their needs in the redesign of the area. 

What to Expect at the New Cronulla Plaza Playground

The new Cronulla Plaza Playground looks set to be a real crowd-pleaser for its users.

The playground features a pretty impressive whale structure, a slide, sunken trampolines, a roundabout, and plenty more invitations to play, explore, and engage. It's the perfect pitstop for the kids to blow off some steam while the family is out and about! 

The First of Two New Playgrounds at Cronulla Plaza

This opening is the first of two destination playgrounds that are coming to Cronulla Plaza, with the second earmarked for completion in June 2024 at the southern end of the precinct. 

Rest Assured...Shade is Coming

Sutherland Shire Council have assured locals that more adequate shade is coming to Cronulla Plaza Playground, amidst a strong public appeal for better shade. Shade covers are currently in production and are due to be installed early in the new year. So, watch this space!
