2021 Law Week Event: FREE Mobile Legal Clinic

Everyone needs some legal advice at some point in their life and we all wish we could get it for free. Thanks to Forty Four Degrees Lawyers and Consultants now you can.

As part of Law Week - between 17 and 23 May 2021 - Forty Four Degrees will be offering free 1-1 legal advice to help individuals in regional communities, particularly young people who are unsure about the legal system.

The service will offer the legal perspective to complicated family situations, including domestic violence, relationships and divorce, as well as business matters. The team aims to provide insight, create action plans and encourage referrals for community members such as social workers. 

“Victorian communities had a tough year. We wanted to be a part of the recovery,” Leila Chalk, the principal solicitor at Forty Four Degrees, said.

Clients are encouraged to bring IDs and relevant legal documents, and to come with specific legal questions, or to simply share their general concerns.

The Forty Four Degrees team will be travelling to Mornington Peninsula, Geelong and Bendigo from 10am - 5pm daily to offer their free mobile 1-1 consultation sessions.
