Black Sun/Blood Moon

Black Sun/Blood Moon at The Concourse Theatre
Behold two unlikely heroes saving the planet in Black Sun/Blood Moon.

As a part of Chatswood Culture Bites, Willoughby City Council’s innovative arts program comes the captivating stage production of Black Sun/Blood Moon, a fantastical new story inspired by the student-led Fridays for Future climate-change protests.

Follow the intertwining stories of two unlikely heroes - Maddy, a ten-year-old climate champion, and Katie, the underachieving assistant of a climate-denying politician - as they embark on their personal quests to save the planet.

Black Sun/Blood Moon will delight little theatre lovers with stunning video displays, illuminating projections and life-size puppetry, as it takes you on a journey through these inspiring parallel lives. Maddy’s world is turned upside down as she forges ahead with her powerful message, while Katie rides on the back of eagles and dolphins on her magical mission from the future.

Recommended for ages 12+.

When: Saturday 3 June 2023 | 1 pm and 7 pm
Cost: Tickets from $23 pp
