Fresh air, open space, trees, grass, shade, nature, wildlife and green green green as far as the eye can see. This outstanding vast space in the heart of the east has so much to offer everyone, but for mums, it’s an especially blissful sanctuary to get away from it all, so if you just love getting outdoors, working off those extra baby pounds or are feeling a bit hemmed in, get here, take a breath and turn a bad day into a good day, and a good day into a great day.

There’s almost too much to talk about, it’s worth taking a looking at the map to see exactly what facilities there are on offer, but in summary, you’ll find 4 fabulous playgrounds, a range of duck ponds, bike tracks & bike hire, BBQ sites or bring your own, shady picnic benches, plentiful toilet facilities and a great family-friendly café and kiosk serving superb healthy take away food and good coffee. Centennial Parklands run a fantastic seasonal program of events for kids throughout the year and school holidays. Watch our calendar for details.

We especially love sitting under the shady trees on those scorching days, the great healthy take away food from the café in cute enviro-friendly boxes, and busby’s pond; take some bird seeds along to feed the ducks (please no bread as it is bad for the wildlife) and watch your toddler's face light up when a mass of giant slippery eels and huge fish break the surface to gobble them up.

The park is open sunrise to sunset with an abundance of free parking available in Centennial Park. Located in the middle of the Park is the Centennial Parklands Kiosk open daily from 7.00 am – 5.00 pm and serves lovely healthy snacks. The Café is open from 8.00 am – 5.00 pm where you can eat great food overlooking the beautiful surrounds of Centennial Park.
