Celebrate and experience the oldest living culture on earth at the 13th annual Yabun Festival this Australia Day!

The nation’s largest one day celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in the country, the Yabun Festival is held annually on 26th January upon the traditional lands of the Gadigal people at Victoria Park, Chippendale.

The festival has a vibrant program of the arts, dance, music and speakers, with performers from across many genres including; blues, country, folk, hip hop, pop and spoken word poetry will take the stage. Headliners include Stephen Pigram (Yawuru/Jabirr-Jabirr), Jimblah (Larrakia), Benny Walker (Yorta Yorta) and Troy, Trevelyn & Dean Brady (Qawanji). Along with the music program, Yabun 2015 will incorporate an extended dance program including smoking ceremonies, SpeakOut tent, arts and craft stalls and kids activities.

Yabun is organised by the Gadigal Information Service Aboriginal Corporation and will be broadcast live in Sydney on Koori Radio (93.7FM), and nationally via the National Indigenous Radio Service (NIRS).
