Join Centennial Parklands and the Australian Astronomical Observatory for an attempt at The Guinness World Record for Most People Stargazing Across Multiple Sites in a Country.

The evening will kick off with a public talk by astronomer Amanda Bauer (Australian Astronomical Observatory) and will feature special guest Fred Watson as you wait for the observing to begin.

Age: Everyone is welcome to attend. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Times: 6.30 pm – 9.00 pm

Meeting Point/Venue: The Learning Centre in the Education Precinct, off Dickens Drive, Centennial Park (please see additional notes below for how to get there)

Price: $16 per person, $40 for a family (2 adults, 2 children)

What to bring: your Eventbrite ticket (printed or on your phone), snacks and drinks, portable chairs or picnic blanket, a torch, a telescope if you have one

Ticketholders will receive a small Galileo style commemorative telescope

Wear warm clothing to make sure you don’t get cold and make the most of this fantastic event!
