NICKELODEON’S SUMMER PLAYGROUND


It’s a massive kids day out at Hyde Park as it transforms into the amazing Summer Playground for Australia Day. The kids will get to meet SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Nick Jr’s Dora & Friends in her Australian debut! There’ll also be featured performances from Nick Jr.’s Play Along with Sam star, Sam Moran, Hi-Five and popular on-stage show, Slime Time Live!

AUSTRALIA DAY AT SYDNEY OLYMPIC PARK


Enjoy a fun-filled day of free cultural delights of Australia Day celebrations in Cathy Freeman Park at Sydney Olympic Park. There’ll be food stalls, jumping castles and amusement rides, kids entertainment, roving performers, face painting, craft workshops and a special performance by Frank Lakoudis from The Voice. Then, enjoy the spectacular fireworks at around 8.50pm.

SLIDESTREET AT CENTENNIAL PARK


Parents, roll up! There’s a 315 metre pop up inflatable slip’n’slide running along Parkes Drive Centennial Park on Australia Day. Now if you want to be the coolest parents around, we reckon you might want to get your tickets quick.

YABUN FESTIVAL 2015


For a taste of a cultural Australia Day, take the family along to experience this one day celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. There’ll be music, dances, craft stalls and plenty of kids activities.

AUSTRALIANA PIONEER VILLAGE


Take the kids and travel back in time for a quaint vintage Australia Day celebration at the Australiana Pioneer Village. Entertainment on the day will include horse & carriage rides, train & pony rides, vintage machinery displays, 18th Battalion demonstrations, dunny races, kids’ games and all day entertainment on stage.

HAVAIANAS THONG CHALLENGE


The Havaianas Thong Challenge happens every year on Australia Day and this year Havaianas are celebrating their 10th birthday! This is your chance to be part of a world record attempt for the largest number of giant inflatable Havaianas out on the ocean. This iconic event brings 1000s of people together to have fun, and celebrate being Australian!

TIME: Registrations open 8am. World record attempt at 12.20pm
