Now in its sixth year, Sydney’s most popular festival for dogs and their humans, Woof-fest, is heading back to Western Sydney Parkland’s Warrigal Run (one of Sydney’s largest off-leash dog areas) at Bungarribee Park this June!
Woof-fest is a fun, free, community event for all ages, which everyone from the most devoted dog-lovers and their ‘best friends’ to those in the market for a canine-companion will enjoy.
This year’s Woof-fest is bigger and better than ever, boasting an impressive line-up of live entertainment including talks by expert veterinarian Dr Peter Higgins, tips from dog behaviourist and author of Dognitive Therapy Laura Vissaritis, training techniques from Farmer Dave Graham, advice from Sydney-based animal trainer Ryan Tate and cooking demonstrations by Pet Nutritionist Naoko Okamoto from Chew Chew Pet Restaurant.
There’s also plenty of action with highly skilled competitive relays by Sydney Psychos Fly-Ball champions, sledding demonstrations, and a dog fashion parade! Our Search for the Next SuPaw Model contest will see dogs dressed as celebrities, strutting their stuff on the ‘dog’ walk while Head Judge Jay Lee – designer and pet fashion stylist for Runway Pooch – critiques their performance and decides which pooch is the paw-fect celebrity lookalike.
You can also pamper your pooch with over 50 stalls offering a fabulous array of the latest doggie treats (including Domuts!), toys, clothes, accessories, grooming products, premium pet services and other doggie merchandise as well as information stalls from Guide Dogs and the RSPCA. Other highlights include: a free early morning warm-up walk around the new Bungarribee Park (with breakfast included), free you-and-your-pooch face painting, 101 Dalmatians Jumping Castle, Woof-fest Photo Booth and portraits by Caricature artist Peter Byrne.
