Learn how to shine light for a better environmental future at Vivid's glowing event at Taronga Zoo Sydney. With a spotlight on the wonders of wildlife and endangered animals, Lights for the Wild is back for the fourth year in 2019.

This family-friendly, awe-inspiring display of giant animal light sculptures can be seen from 24 May to 15 June, Wednesday to Sunday evenings (plus the Queen’s Birthday public holiday, Monday 10 June.)

Highlights include:

Giant multimedia animal light sculptures including the majestic Sumatran Rhino and dazzling interactive Chameleon, and new lanterns including playful Sumatran Tiger cubs, a pride of Lions, a Koala and laser gardens.

The Heritage Archway's massive multimedia light projection showcasing Taronga’s ten Legacy Species, fragile species across Australia and Sumatra that Taronga has made a commitment to protect.

Aussie Bush projections including Taronga’s giant iconic symbol, a Platypus, and a Corroboree Frog, along other Australian species.

A cast of colourful Australian animals brought to life can be found along the Aussie Bush path, including a Funnel Web Spider, giant Red Back Spiders, Cicadas, a Bilby, epic Goanna and Saltwater Crocodile.

Three playful Sumatran Tiger cubs to celebrate the birth of Taronga’s three cubs Mawar, Tengah Malam and Pemanah, with their watchful mother Kartika found further along the path.

New Lions will take their pride of place at the beginning of the African Wild, before guests are treated to Taronga Zoo Sydney’s breathtaking, iconic views of the Sydney Harbour foreshore as it shines and sparkles with all the lights of Vivid Sydney

Where:    Taronga Zoo, Bradley’s Head Rd, Mosman. Entry only via the main upper entrance on Bradley’s Head Road.
When:     Friday 24 May to Saturday 15 June, Wednesday to Sunday evenings plus Monday on the Queens Birthday weekend. 5.30pm, 7.30pm (approx. 2 hour experience)
