Vivid 2019 At Chatswood - Inspired By Woodstock
- Fri May 24 - Sat Jun 15 2019
Inspired by the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, the Chatswood precinct will this year reflect values of love, peace and harmony through installations of light and symphonies.
The Concourse architecture is transformed by a surreal deconstruction of the building in Co-existence. The 3D mapped projection illuminates visual and metaphorical connections between the building façade and the theme of human coexistence in love, peace and harmony.
Families can get creative with two musical installations. The super-sized Trumpet Flowers at Chatswood Mall is a giant’s musical garden with 30 trumpet flowers, from two to five metres tall. Play the massive trumpet keys at the centre of the floral forest and make your own spectacular sound and light show. Cascading Harp is a large-scale work at Chatswood Interchange, emitting mesmerising light and melody. Likened to a colossal wind chime, clusters of bells, LED lights and music emit sound and light in time to the movement of coloured ropes.
