Activities To Do With Mum This May at Centennial Parklands!

The gorgeous Centennial Parklands are offering some fantastic activities for mums and their families this May!

Mother Nature Quest

A brand new activity for the whole family to enjoy! Do something different this Mother’s Day and take mum on a specially selected nature trail through Centennial Park. Use the map to spot the clues and learn interesting facts about the plants and animals that call Centennial Park home. At the conclusion of the trail create a unique gift to take home and give mum for Mother’s Day. When you purchase tickets, you'll go into the running to win a paver for mum on The Celebration Steps. Recommended for families with children aged 5-12 years.

Where:  The rangers will be set up under the large fig tree near the Centennial Park Labyrinth.

When:  Saturday 13 May 2017; 10am-11.45am

Cost:   $14.50 per child


Mother's Day at Centennial Homestead

This Mother’s Day, the team has created a delicious breakfast and lunch culinary experience Mum will surely love! Breakfast: For the early risers and mums who love to do breakfast, be sure to treat Mum to a shared feast with a complimentary glass of bubbles or a smoothie for Mum. Lunch: For the mums who love a long lunch, the Centennial Homestead Grazing Feast and a complimentary glass of bubbles for Mum will be the perfect way to say thank you. 

Where:  Centennial Homestead, off Grand Drive, Centennial Park

When:  Sunday 14 May 2017

Cost:    Breakfast- Adults $60 & Children $30; Lunch- Adults $100 & Children $45

Mother's Day Plant Sale

Grab your very own piece of Centennial Parklands at the Mother's Day plant sale. All plants are grown by a very dedicated group of green thumbs from The Centennial Parklands Volunteer Growing Group who have been producing high-quality plants for the Parklands for over five years. There will be over 20 species of plants on sale on the day, mostly from species found in the ornamental Centennial Park gardens. A qualified Horticulturist will be on hand to discuss your plant queries.

All proceeds from plant sales go back into the Nursery to provide more facilities for our volunteers.

Where:  Volunteer run nursery located at the Learning Centre Education precinct (near Fly Casting pond).

When:  Saturday 13 May 2017; 9am-12pm

Cost:   Wide range or prices to suit all budgets
