Grab this tantalizing opportunity to build your own city! From January 8 – 24 at Barangaroo Reserve, join Sydney’s newest creative playground, the Ephemeral City, where people of all ages are invited to use boxes and tape to construct a sky-high temporary city for FREE before witnessing its exciting demolition on Australia Day as part of Sydney Festival’s awesome summer activities and events!
The Cutaway is a completely accessible and inclusive built space; it is flat, has an elevator and accessible amenities. This is one of the largest community participation events presented in Sydney Festival’s history! There’s a kid replica at BOXWARS where they can channel their inspiration from this mammoth artwork into cardboard collective BOXWARS’ free creative workshops – the perfect school holiday activity.
If you’re unafraid of heights take the exhilarating Flying Fox over the Ephemeral City! The Flying Fox is FREE and has a first-in-first-flight free ticketing system in the venue.
