This summer, for a cool change, hit The Beach at Barangaroo as part of the Sydney Festival in January 2017.

A quintessential Australian experience is reimagined by Snarkitecture, a New York-based art and architecture collaborative practice. The shoreline will be transformed by the installation of 1.1 millionrecyclable polyethylene balls that make an ocean without sharks, gently lapping against a 60-metre wide shoreline free of sand.

Take a dip or bliss out in a beach chair and literally submerge yourself in art. Whether you’re young or just young-at-heart, the best alternative beach ever created in Australia is guaranteed to put a smile on your dial.

There are three different way you can experience The Beach:
1. FREE access 10am-5pm along with everyone else
2. All-ages ticket session from 9am if you’re keen to avoid the lines and guarantee your spot
3. Experience The Beach at night without the kids: 18+ only sessions on Friday and Saturday evenings for 90 minutes

Where:    The Cutaway, 1 Merriman St, Barangaroo
When:      7-29 January 2017; 10am-5pm (closed Mondays); Evenings for 18yrs+ Fridays & Saturdays; 6.30-8pm & 8.30-10pm
