Celebrate Taronga Zoo’s iconic move from Moore Park to Mosman in 1916 with their 100th Birthday Parade!
Ten giant animal light sculptures, representing endangered species, will illuminate the CBD, followed by a convoy of singers, dancers, staff and volunteers. Watch out for Asian Elephants, Corroborree Frogs, Sun Bears, Marine Turtles, Sumatran Tigers, Playtpus, Regent Honeyeaters, Sumatran Rhinos, Pangolins and Greater Bilbies.
After making your way through the CBD, you will find yourself on the steps of the Sydney Opera House for a brilliant grand finale dance performance that everyone is welcome to join in on.
Celebrate Taronga Zoo and ‘Stand Up #ForTheWild’ with this exciting family event.
Where: Sydney CBD. Beginning at Hyde Park, moving through Macquarie Street then onto the Sydney Opera House.
When: Saturday 15 October, 8-9pm.
