Along the entire length of Pier 4/5, Walsh Bay, is the glittering, dazzling Glowtopia where you can find all the bestselling children’s authors and illustrators breaking out into spontaneous live storytelling, drawing and entertainment of all sorts. There will be 4 different regions inside Glowtopia:
Ministry of Noise: All ages are welcome to this fun and free toe-tapping event, where Kinderling Radio will be hosting a disco, as well as a musical storytelling performance by B’Tutta!
Department of Stuff and Nonsense: Recommended for ages 7+, witness a live drawing competition by some of Australia’s hottest kids illustrators, Aaron Blabey (author of Pig the Pug) gives a live drawing demo, have fun with SBS’s Mr Dictionary as you work out riddles, puzzles and puns and listen to ABC’s Bajo and Hex talk about their brand new series!
Bureau of Artistics: All ages are welcome to pull up a beanbag in the clubhouse for storytime, make art with recycled materials, make up new words with ‘Fictionary’, help colour in the Harry Potter mural, and so so much more!
Royal Institute of All Day YA: Recommended for ages 13+, hear about the best books soon to hit stores at TeenCon 2016, hear Brookyln author Tommy Wallach sing his stories live, and a heap more at this very interactive book-lovers dream.
