This is the museum’s annual celebration of Sydney trams! Come along and ride some of the rarer trams in their collection, including the LP Class 154. Probably the most rebuilt of all of the Museum’s trams, No. 154 began life as an F Class in 1900. It was subsequently rebuilt as an L Class and finally in 1926 as an LP Class. As an LP Class it served the isolated tramway between Rockdale and Brighton-le-Sands. However, it biggest claim to fame is its place as the first electric tram to be preserved in the southern hemisphere way back in 1949!
