An immortal tale and exciting new music… The Pied Piper is an exciting and powerful retelling of classic childhood tale with enchanting orchestral music.

The travelling piper (his signature tune borrowed from Debussy) arrives in a town with a rat problem and charms the vermin away. But when the greedy mayor won’t pay, the tune changes and it’s the children who disappear.

The Sydney Symphony Orchestra will be joined by the Sydney Children’s Choir and two narrators for this concert-length musical story. It’s the result of an SSO commission in collaboration with the London Philharmonic and the Seattle Symphony.

Sydney Symphony Orchestra is offering a wonderful opportunity to purchase a concert subscription package for your little lovers of classical music for three Sunday 2pm performances in 2016. The first performance is by James Morrison, followed by The Composer is Dead and The Pied Piper of Hamelin.
