The Sydney Film Festival 2017 is coming our way this June, a super-entertaining 2 weeks for Sydney kids and families!
The world’s best new films come to Sydney every June for 12 days and nights of inspiring and entertaining premieres, talks and parties. Join in and be among the first in Australia to see the greatest, strangest and most exciting work that cinema has to offer. Check out the full 2017 program here.
Why should the so-called ‘adults’ have all the film festival fun? Under 18s need some too, so check out the wild, weird and truly wonderful mix of flicks from around the world hitting the 2017 festival: From angst, activism and apocalypse in My Entire High School Sinking into The Sea, to tough times for a young orphan in My Life as a Zucchini, the animated features pull no punches and take no prisoners. The live-action films don’t go for fluffy either: Rip Tide rides a perfect wave of surfing, young love and difficult choices in an Aussie coastal town; while The Sun at Midnight gets really deep in the remote Canadian wilderness as a city teen finds herself by getting really, really lost. Add on an amazing mix of animated shorts and the left-field supernatural superhero Phantom Boy and families have got a lot to choose from.
