Sydney Festival 2016 LogoThis Summer the whole family can celebrate with Sydney Festival as it rejoices in its 40th year. The landmark 2016 program is bursting with breathtaking performances, participatory fun, colourful concerts and activities for growing hands and minds. This January there are 157 events to choose from, a staggering 89 of which are free ….  including an epic Flying Fox!

There will be TWO festival Hubs this year, filled with circus performances, community art events, food, drinks and free music. The Parramatta Hub includes a Spanish fairground filled with free rides for kids (and parents too) and from January 12 – 16, Family Week will return to the Meriton Festival Village in Hyde Park with a jam-packed week full of family shows and free fun that has something for all ages

The events at Sydney Festival are comprised of free and ticketed events and have easy access, a variety of session times, plus a mixture of live performances and hands on experiences that allows kids to fully immerse themselves in the shows they watch and activities they participate in.

There’s theatre, music, dance, film, talks, opera, circus, cabaret, installations, family shows and heaps of performances that will entertain and amaze kids and parents.
