Learn all about spiders, bugs and butterflies these summer holidays at The Australian Museum in Sydney’s CBD!

Creepy Creature Zoo (5-12yrs)
Learn about creepy crawlies from expert educators in this fun and unique petting zoo. The interactive experience features Goliath stick insect, tarantulas, butterflies, giant burrowing cockroaches, rainforest millipedes, scorpions and more!
Where:     Australian Museum, entry corner of College and William Streets
When:       2-8 January, Every 30 minutes between 10am and 1pm
Cost:          $8 per person after general admission | Kids under 16 gain free general admission

Butterfly Tent (3-12yrs)
Step into the magical world of butterflies, learn about their life cycles, see them flutter around you and have a go at feeding them – all part of our live butterfly experience!
Where:     Australian Museum, entry corner of College and William Streets
When:       9-15 January, Every 15 minutes between 10am-1pm
Cost:         $8 per person after general admission | Kids under 16 gain free general admission

Scientist For A Day: Web Detective (8-12yrs)
Become an expert in spiders with the help of real Australian Museum scientists! Discover the sticky world of spiders and their prey, and go behind the scenes and look into our collections and study live specimens. We embark on an expedition to Hyde Park looking for webs and their architects, collecting our findings in a field journal. And we meet an actual arachnologist and tour the Spiders – Alive & Deadly exhibition.
Where:     Australian Museum, entry corner of College and William Streets
When:       10 & 11 January, 9am-3pm
Cost:          $110 Member Child | $135 non-Member Child (includes lunch and entry to Spiders – Alive & Deadly)

The Critter Club (4-7yrs)
Only at the Australian Museum can you find a clubhouse dedicated to the study of creepy crawlies. Sort through leaf litter to find and identify insects, then study them under a microscope; examine our collection of live spiders and stick insects; visit the AM’s new bee hive; and make your own upcycled critter at the crafts station and go home with a goody bag!
