Red Nose Day on June 26 is run by SIDS and Kids and is dedicated to saving the lives of babies and children during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood and supporting bereaved families.
SIDS and Kids are a not-for-profit organisation that was created in 1977 to support families who had experienced the death of a baby from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
Over the years services have been broadened beyond SIDS to support all families who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child regardless of the cause. SIDS and Kids has a successful history in delivering a safe sleeping health promotion program for babies that has been largely responsible for an 80% reduction in sudden infant deaths in Australia.
There are lots of ways to support Red Nose Day. You can order product online to sell at your workplace or to your family or friends or within your community. Why not host a Red Nose Day fundraising activity and donate proceeds to SIDS and Kids, or fundraise online through the new Dare to Care web page. Or help your local SIDS and Kids by volunteering.
