The Seymour Centre will transform into a children’s delight these school holidays when it presents two incredible productions based on popular children’s books, alongside a program of free activities to entertain the whole family, from 22 to 26 September.

Bursting off the page will be the spectacular live show Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes & Dirty Beasts, adapted for the stage by Brisbane’s renowned Shake & Stir Theatre Co. Taking the world’s best-loved fairy tales, the production rearranges them with some unexpected and hilarious twists.

Patch Theatre Company will also bring their rollicking cabaret-style production Cranky Bear to the Seymour Centre stage. Adapted from the best-selling book The Very Cranky Bear by Nick Bland, Cranky Bear is packed with music, laughter and mayhem, providing perfect entertainment for four to eight year olds.

Throughout the venue, adults and children alike can enjoy a variety of entertainment and activities with children’s bands including The Vegetable Plot in the Seymour Centre Courtyard, mind-blowing Parkour performances and workshops by western Sydney sensation Team 9Lives, a pop-up bookstore from the Co-op Bookshop and free Revolting Rhymes workshops for kids.
