How you can celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture this NAIDOC Week in the City this July!

NAIDOC in the City is a time to enjoy a free celebration of the world’s oldest living cultures through food, song, dance, language and art in the heart of the city.   Gather in the gunya, taste the treats from the earth oven, join in the dance circle and see live performances by Emily Wurramarra, Kahl Wallis, Electric Fields and Slip On Stereo.   Watch Aboriginal chef Mark Olive’s cooking demonstrations combining contemporary and traditional Australian flavours and participate in Aboriginal language workshops.

Bring the kids along to try their hand at art, painting and weaving or join the sporting action at the football, basketball and netball clinics.

Learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures while you enjoy a day in the park.

View the NAIDOC in the City program for performance and workshop times.
