Did you know that dinosaurs once roamed Australia? Well, if you visit the Australian Botanic Garden in Mount Annan during National Science Week, you’ll need to keep an eye out for dinosaurs roaming the Garden looking for their next meal!

The Jurassic Garden opens for one day only on Saturday 20 August, from 11am – 3pm with activities like wildlife spotting, science experiments and fossil finding.

There will be many exciting activities happening during the day including:

- Meet a life-sized meat eating Australian dinosaur, Australovenator and a life sized plant eating Australian dinosaur, Muttaburrasaurus
- Exciting science experiments, giant bubbles and more
- Become a palaeontologist and learn how fossils are formed by making your own
- Get Close to Snakes
- Have Fun at the The Science Mash-Up Show
- Science of Chocolate Presentation

The Australian Botanic Garden is 57 km from Sydney CBD, about 45 minute drive from the city.

Due to high demand, this event will be ticketed (but still remain free). The tickets will be available from 6pm, Friday 5 August from the Australian Botanic Garden website. Each ticket will allow the entry of one vehicle into the Australian Botanic Garden between 8am and 5pm on the day. Once the ticket allocation is exhausted there will be no further allocation of parking available on-site on the day. Vehicle entry to the Garden will be restricted to ticketholders only.
