‘Songlines’: Aboriginal Didgeridoo and Dance Workshop
To embrace NAIDOC week 2016, Woollahra Council invites the community to a ‘Songlines’ workshop. Join Walangari Karntawarra for this wonderful presentation on the importance of music, dance and art in Aboriginal Culture.

When:   Thursday 7 July 2016, 7-8pm
Cost:      Children – $5; Adults – $10. Bookings essential

Things that creep and crawl with Just Dream Productions (5-12yrs)
Ever wanted to get close and personal with creepy crawlies? Come and meet some insect and arachnid and discover the secret life of bugs. An exciting activity included.

Pop Culture Trivia (13-20yrs)
Think you’ve got all the answers? Come and test your knowledge of pop culture at the library’s trivia night, complete with pizza, drinks and prizes. Some of the subjects are music, gaming and the internet.

Stain Glass Dragonflies (6-12yrs)
Come and create a personal and uniquely coloured stained glass dragonfly.

NAIDOC Celebration with Matthew Doyle (6-13yrs)
Join in the celebration of NAIDOC week as we explore the wonderful world of Australia’s Indigenous cultures with professional musician, dancer and teacher Matthew Doyle. Acclaimed entertainer Matthew Doyle is a descendant of the Muruwari Aboriginal nation.

When:     Wednesday 13 July 2016, 10-11am

Minibeast Drama Workshop (5-10yrs)
Come and bug out for the day. Swap your shoes for a wriggly tail and your legs for wings. With this interactive drama workshop children are able to dress up as their favourite minibeast and become a Dragonfly, grasshopper or caterpillar while learning how their favourite insect lives.

When:     Thursday 14 July 2016, 3.30-4.30pm
