Hazelhurst Art Gallery: Escape the cold these holidays and visit Hazelhurst for free films and art-making, or enrol the kids in an art class.
Free Kids Film Program: Monday to Friday both weeks, 1pm.
Visit the Studio for Free Art Activities: Monday to Friday both weeks, 10am to 12pm.
School Holiday Art Classes: Book into one of 40 art classes for 6–13 year olds.
Sutherland Leisure Centre: Head inside for a splashing good time at Sutherland Leisure Centre’s indoor, heated facilities these winter school holidays. Sutherland Shire Libraries: Explore science and technology at the Liquid Nitrogen Show, the Ozobot Maze Scramble, Coding for Kids and Circuit Bug Workshops. Bushcare: Bushcare’s Scamper Through the Jungle event is perfect holiday fun for the kids and it’s free. Collect the clues as you race through the amazing gardens of Joseph Banks Native Plants Reserve. Wednesday 5 July, 9am to 11am. Visit Council’s website to register now.
NAIDOC: Celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements on Thursday 6 July, 10am to 3pm at Gunnamatta Hall and Park, Cronulla. Enjoy a variety of free fun activities for the kids including art and craft, face painting, jumping castle, Symbio Wildlife Park animal display, Sharks players plus a gold coin donation morning tea and bbq lunch. The official flag-raising will commence at 10am followed by live entertainment from the Col Hardy Band. Visit Council’s website for further details.

Tuesday 4 July: Badge-making and colouring-in with Sutherland Shire Libraries.
Wednesday 5 July: Creative play with Children’s Services (for children 3+).
Thursday 6 July: Bring your little eco-warriors along to get waste wise and turn trash (recycled materials) into treasure with our garbage gurus from Waste Services.
Friday 7 July: Learn about water safety with our Beach Lifeguards and Leisure Centres and take part in a fun
